Megan's Walk, Ontario Place
to Hospital for Sick Children
Meagan's Walk raises awareness about paediatric brain tumours and funds for
research into this devastating illness. Meagan's Walk on Mother's Day is a five
kilometre event suitable for participants of all ages and abilities. It follows
a well marked and secure route, where participants receive support and
assistance, as needed, from volunteer route marshals and police. The walk begins
at Ontario Place (9am) and ends at The Hospital for Sick Children, where
participants join hands in a human chain, a Circle of Hope around SickKids.

Paperclips Campaign Launch,
Adventure Valley (Free admission)
Attend a screening of the award-winning documentary Paperclips in honour of
Holocaust Remembrance Day. Paperclips is about how one classroom learned about
compassion and humanity by collecting paperclips an object that came to
symbolize the unbreakable links between brother to brother, human to human.
Holocaust survivor Shari Fine will also emphasize that message by speaking about
the lessons of unity she learned through her experience. Other features of the
event include kids writing on stones one word that denotes unity, universal
love, and peace to donate to Goodwin Learning Centre and sales of Paperclip
Bracelets will help fund education for the holocaust and other atrocities of
